Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as its new India Head, a key leadership role at a time when the digital advertising market in India continues to grow rapidly. With over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business leadership across top consumer and tech companies, Srinivas brings a rich mix of corporate expertise and operational insight.
Arun Srinivas started his career in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) space, joining Reebok in 1996. Over five years, he held three key roles – Product Manager, Regional Sales Manager for South India, and eventually Marketing Manager. His early exposure to brand building and regional market dynamics helped build a solid base in consumer understanding.
In 2001, he joined Hindustan Unilever as Branch Sales Manager. Over a career spanning more than 15 years at Unilever, he held several leadership positions across categories and geographies.
He rose through the ranks to become Category Vice President for Foods South Asia, where he was responsible for the business in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Before that, he led Skin Care & Makeup and Beverages categories as Vice President, handling well-known brands like Fair & Lovely, Ponds, Vaseline, Lakm, and Knorr.
